Alia Bhatt On Ranbir Kapoor Being Called A TOXIC Husband; Actress Says, ‘He’s Genuinely The Opposite Of All Of That’
Despite being one of the most adored couples in Bollywood, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor often find themselves in the middle of controversies. From the actress being called out for only talking about her husband and their daughter Raha during her interviews to the actor being labelled as a ‘toxic’ person for his straightforward statements, they have seen it all in the past few months. Now, during the recent episode of Koffee With Karan 8, she addressed the lipstick controversy and Ranbir being mercilessly trolled for asking his wife to wipe off her lipstick as he likes the colour of her natural lips.

Addressing the entire controversy, Karan Johar told the 30-year-old actress that she has been accused of talking about Ranbir a lot. To which, Alia shared that she will not be speaking about him. When asked to share her thoughts on the controversy, the actress explained how she has a very candid way of speaking which also includes her imitating the person she is talking about. She goes on to add, “I feel like a lot of things just get picked out of context which happened recently.” ALSO READ: WHAT? Opening up about her reaction when she found out that the lipstick comment was blown out of proportion, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress revealed how concerned her team was. Quoted by News18, she went on to add, “I was like, ‘It’s okay, let it be.’ because genuinely, people say things all the time. But then I realised that there are serious articles talking about how he’s a toxic man and this and that. And I’m like, ‘Are we serious?’ There are many issues in the world to talk and give more attention towards than talking about something I said in a completely different context. I think the only reason I felt bad, or feel bad is that if people misunderstand, is because he’s genuinely the opposite of all of that.” ALSO READ: Ranbir Kapoor On Being Called TOXIC After Alia Bhatt’s Controversial Lipstick Statement Went VIRAL; Says, ‘This Image Of Mine, It’s Owned By The Public’

However nothing can be one about it as people are free to comment on what they want. Talking about her husband’s reaction to the controvert, Alia told Karan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, “Ranbir says that ‘Alia, the audience owns you, they can say what the hell they want about you. As long as your movies are doing well, please do not complain sitting in your apartment in Bandra’.” All three stars agreed with the 41-year-old actor’s approach.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Karan Johar’s comeback movie Rani Aur Rocky Kii Prem Kahaani. She has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra franchise, Jigra and Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Jee Le Zara alongside Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra Jonas in her pipeline. If reports are to be believed, she will be setting foot in YRF's spy universe as the leading lady.
